Ministerial Screening: ‘Amaechi Should Be Allowed To Take A Bow’
A
Non- Governmental Organization, Traders Initiative for Social
Development, has vowed to mobilize all of its members across the country
to the National Assembly should one of the Ministerial Nominees and
immediate past Governor of Rivers State, Chibuike Amechi be denied the
chances to serve his father land by the red chambers.
They urge the senate to rather consider the towering profile of Mr Chibuike Amaechi especially his cognate legislative experience as a former Speaker Rivers State House of Assembly for a maximum term of eight years (which counts most in this circumstance) to allow him take a bow.
The Group in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary chief Bernad Ifeanyi Nwudunna said it has resolved to go to every limit allowable by law to ensure that the will of the people is not thwarted for the political interest of a few .
They called on the Senate to “overlook and ignore every attempt by a few politicians in Rivers State whose interests are public knowledge, at presenting Amechi in a bad light before the distinguished Senators”.
