Group asks EFCC to investigate Jonathan, Ayeni, Alison-Madueke over illegal crude oil contracts
The Civil Society Network against Corruption (CSNAC), a coalition
of over 150 anti-corruption organisations, has urged the chairman of the
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), Ibrahim Lamorde, to
thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding the award of
illegal crude oil deals carried out by the administration of former
President Goodluck Jonathan.
In a petition addressed to the EFCC chairman and signed by the coalition’s chairman, Olanrewaju Suraju, the group called for the prosecution of the masterminds and beneficiaries of the contracts, stating that the deals were the peak of corruption during the administration of the former president.
