A Young man was today shot dead in front of his work place by a police man in Aba.
We gathered that his colleagues ( line members) who are incensed by this incident angrily went to Ariaria police station to demand for justice.
Two policemen was dealt a terrible blow and their guns were carted away by the raging mob.
Some police from other divisions had to come down to Ariaria police station, spray tear gas inside & outside the market in order to bring the turmoil under control. Our reporter confirmed that the actual cause of the crisis was that police went to an area notorious for indian hem smoking and shot at the man who it was reported was not among the smokers
