**“Because Of Just 4 Months Of Unpaid Salaries You Won’t Work?” - Okorocha.
The Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has ordered the striking
civil servants to resume work immediately or risk being summarily
sacked.
The governor also sent a group of youths to attack the protesting workers, branding them as unpatriotic and economic saboteurs, Majority of them were injured.
He later received the young boys that disrupted the workers protest at the Government House in Owerri, thanking them for their love for the state.
He added, that "It is sad that because of 4 unpaid Months salaries, the workers refused to work". He said that that he is left with no option than to sack them from service.
The month of July will be the 5th Month that Imo workers will go home without their salaries, Pensioners are owed over 19 months of their Pension.
