INAUGURATION OF THE 8TH HOUSE OF THE IMO STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY
To the glory of God, the Rescue Mission Government in the state wishes to inform the people of the state in particular and the public in general, that the Executive Governor of the state, His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha will inaugurate the 8th House of the Imo State House of Assembly on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the heavily renovated complex of the State Assembly. The time for the event is 10a.m.
The inauguration will take place following the earlier proclamation by His Excellency for the event on Thursday in line with the letters of section 105 sub-section 31 of the Constitution which empowers the governor as the Chief Executive of the sate to perform such constitutional functions.
Before the inauguration of the 8th House proper, the Governor will commission the Assembly complex that has been made the best and indeed the largest legislative edifice in the South-east and one of the best in the country.
It has always been the dream and desire of the governor to see and ensure that all the arms of government in the state function, not only effectively, but in a very conducive and dignifying structures and atmosphere. And the governor will continue on that page so that the state shall continue to be on the fast lane of development, growth and progress.
Patriotic citizens of the state wishing or willing to witness the historic event of inaugurating the new House and the commissioning of the magnificent Assembly complex, vis-à-vis the emergence of the officers that will preside over the affairs of the Assembly for the next four years, will be accorded warm reception also in the spirit of the philosophy of the Rescue Mission Government in the state.
The Governor also wishes to use this opportunity to congratulate all the House members-elect who will be inaugurated and wishes all of them, a very happy inauguration.
