CHIKE OKAFOR GIVING IMO A VOICE IN THE HOUSE.
My dear people, today, I moved a motion in favour of the "Urgent Need to Check Illegal Routes into Nigeria in Order to Reduce acts of Terrorism" which was unanimously adopted by the House of Representatives, with contributing members applauding the motion as timely and very necessary in our fight against terrorism, kidnapping, cross-border robbery and other forms of criminality in our dear country.
The motion sought to
1. Urge the Nigerian Immigration Service, Nigerian Customs Service, the security and civil defense corps, Nigerian police force and other related agencies to increase their manpower base by recruiting the required personnel as well as acquiring border monitoring technology to secure our borders.

2. Urge the federal government to declare an emergency on the porous borders of Nigeria.
3. Further urge the National boundaries commission and other relevant agencies to embark on a perfect creation of an identity in the various border points by building lines, hedges and deploying other modern means to create clear demarcations at the various borders
All the 3 prayers/requests were unanimously applauded and adopted by House.
