ABAKALIKI—THE Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, weekend, called on the people of Ebonyi State to support the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari as the state cannot afford to be in opposition.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain stated this at his country home, Uburu, in Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state while addressing leaders and supporters of the APC in Ebonyi State who came to celebrate the New Year with him.
He added that the state with its tremendous potentialities stand the
chance of benefiting from Federal Government’s policies and programmes.
Onu, a former Governor of old Abia State noted that Buhari inherited bad economy from the past administration and has been working round the clock to fix it through diversification of the economy.
He restated his readiness to reposition the Ministry of Science and Technology to make it vibrant and result oriented.
The minister also raised alarm over an illegal facebook account created in his name by some unscrupulous elements to defraud innocent citizens of the country.
According to him: “In the first place, I don’t operate any facebook account and I wonder why people are using my name on facebook with my picture to do all manner of business.
